Vicky Champagne – narrative photographer
Vicky Champagne is an award-winning narrative photographer who loves storytelling.
Born in Sherbrooke Québec, Vicky has come a long way before finding her mission.
Vicky first came to Toronto in 1997 as a student who could hardly speak English. She lived up to education and career expectations, and over the course of 20 years became a sought-after bilingual professional in the private sector. Despite this great career growth, in her mind, she was still not fulfilling her passion.
As many of us do, Vicky did not live the picture-perfect life she dreamed of. Hanging on her faith in better tomorrows, Vicky has always reached out for ambitious dreams and she began to pursue her passions.
Vicky dreamed of becoming a photographer, and despite her talent, and passions for the art, she never imagined it being a career. As a mom raising 2 wonderful children, she began teaching them her mantra:
“If you can dream it, you can make it happen”
It was in this teaching that she knew it was time. Not only to pursue her passion, but to show her children that this mantra is true, you can make it happen.
After years of training and endless hours of photography work, and at peace with her past and embracing her present, she set out to show her kids this dream.
Vicky is now an award winning, successful, full-time children and family photographer. She has developed a personal process that ensure she gets to know her clients deeply as she captures their moments.
Now, both inside and outside of her work, Vicky takes pride into providing a strong and positive example to the two loves of her life; Benjamin, and Eva. She hopes that one day, they will look back at their moments, and be inspired by the moments she has captured for everyone.
LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO WAKE UP WITH REGRETS. SO LOVE THE PEOPLE WHO TREAT YOU RIGHT. FORGET ABOUT THOSE WHO DON’T. BELIEVE EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON. IF YOU GET A CHANCE, TAKE IT. IF IT CHANGES YOUR LIFE, LET IT. NOBODY SAID LIFE WOULD BE EASY, THEY JUST PROMISED IT WOULD MOST LIKELY BE WORTH IT.
